Aspects, or Angles
Aspects (also called angles) refer to the geometric spatial relationship between two or more planets. There are natal aspects in a birth chart. Transiting planets also make aspects to each other, and to natal planets in a person's birth chart, causing events on earth. Following are descriptions of the most important aspects:
Conjunction
is what happens when two planets are in the same sign as each other, and
within a very few degrees. Here is the symbol
for conjunction. 
Conjunction
is considered a harmonious aspect. It means that the energy of the two
planets is joined together. Here is how a conjunction between Jupiter
and Saturn at 22 degrees of Taurus might look in a chart:
