Major Astrological Events for the Year 2001

January 25, 2001 - Jupiter and Saturn go direct

February 4 - February 25 - Mercury retrograde in Pisces / Aquarius (mostly Aquarius). Avoid major purchases and signing contracts during this time.

February 26 - March 8 - All planets are direct. Very auspicious time for moving forward with plans and projects.

March 9 - April 20 - Venus retrograde in Aries. Time to review what and who we like. Some people could get back with an old romantic partner. Not a good time for starting new romantic associations if you want them to last. Don't spend money to redecorate during this time, but it's a good time to reconsider what you find attractive in your environment. You can do the actual decorating after Venus goes direct.

May 11 - July 19 - Mars retrograde in Sagittarius. Time to review what you desire. Don't act on these desires until after Mars goes direct.

June 4 - June 28 - Mercury retrograde in Gemini. As always with Mercury retrograde, communication is difficult. Avoid major purchases and signing contracts.

September 27 - sometime in 2002 - Saturn retrograde in Gemini.

October 1 - October 23 - Mercury retrograde in Libra. See notes for previous Mercury retrogrades

November 2 - sometime in 2002 - Jupiter retrograde in Cancer.

The outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) are retrograde so much of the time that I didn't list them here. If you are interested in their retrogrades and their effects, I hope this leads you to further astrological study.
